Before class 12/18

I would like to write about a christmas and shogatsu. Every year, I don't do something special for christamas but I always eat delicous food my mother made. So this year, I want to cook by myself on christamas. I am chossing the menu for christmas. And in syogatsu, I will go to Kagoshima with my family. Recent years, my family always go to somewhere on Gantann. Last year, we went to Kagoshima to watch crains. It was very fun so this year, it will be more fan than last year!

After class 12/18

Today, we talked about christmas. For example, plan for christmas and present. One of my freinds has a paln to go to Oita with her friends. Traveling with friends is very fun so she will enjoy them!!

After talking, we watched the video, Mr.Bean. I knew him but I have never watched the video. So it was my first time. He was so fantastic and good enterainer. I like him! So I will go video shop and borrow the video for winter vacation.

Book review2-3 THE COLDEST PLACE ON EARTH

Book review2-2 Huckleberry Finn

I knew this in the class of American literature. I heard this title but I have not read it so I decided to read this.

Young Huckleberry Finn do not want to live normal days like living in the house, cleaning clothes, going to school and being good. So he runs away and is soon floating down the great Mississippi River on a raft with Jim, black slave who is also running away. But life is not always easy for the two friends.

I sometimes want to run away and go to adventure but Ican't. Therefore I can feel like running away by reading this book.

Book review2-1 A LITTLE PRINCESS

Sara Crew is a very rich little girl. She first comes to England when she is seven. Her father takes her to Miss Minchin's school in London and he goes back to his work in India. Sara is very sad at first, but she soon makes friends at school. But on her eleventh birthday, something terrible happens. Sara has no family now, no home, and not a penny in the world.

I wathed this movie and I love this story. This book makes me sad but she will be happy in the future and she can meet her father again. I want many people to read this book.

After class 10/9

I talked with my friends about our eating. Some of my friends skipped their breakfast today but I never skip the meals because I love eating and if I skipped the meal, I would not move at all.
Today, our group talked about the menu and interesting point of the foods. We thought up cold soup and hot salad. Usually, we eat hot soup and cold salad but we wanted to make the menu something strange but delicious. Hot salad has good texture and it is good for our health. Cold soup is like a juice. Soup is in bottle and pour into the cup like juice.

After class 10/2

In this term, I make reastautrant with Megumi, Ayano and Yuika. We decideded to make Italian restautrant. Talking of Italian food, we can often eat pasta and pizza in our daily life. Maybe most of people like these food. The reason why we choose Italian restautrant is the variety of foods. There are so many Italian foods, including the food we don't know. I will research many Italian food and I want to make wonderful restautrant.

My favorite food

I love curry and rice. I love this food! I want to eat curry every day. But if I ate curry every day, I would be tired of curry (of course I love curry). Therefore I eat curry once a week. When I cannot choose food I want to eat, I always choose curry. Curry is essential for me. My mother is good at making curry so when she makes it, I can't wait eating it. I have other favorite food. That is pasta. My sister is good at cooking pasta and she makes various pasta ffor me on her holiday. So I can eat pasta once a week.
I don't like mayonnaise. I will never eat it but I want to be able to eat mayonnaise someday.

Book review1-12 APOLLO13

I found this book in the school library. I have known the name of APOLLO13 but I knew nothing about it; I knew only that it was a name of space shuttle. Therefore, I chose this book to know about it. Apollo is one of the space shuttle of America. It was launched to moon, but the gas explosion happened on the way to the moon. Despite the difficulties, the space shuttle landed on the moon and they could come back to the earth safely. Because of this trouble, NASA stopped to use the number 13 for space shuttle. Before I read this book, I thought APOLLO13 could not come back to the earth. But they could be successful in landing on the moon and come back, so I was happy to know that. The upper thing is a patch of Apollo13. I want to watch the movie someday.

Book review1-11 so liitle time

I bought this book in Montana when I was staying there. I knew the two girls on the cover of this book, Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen. I liked the cover so I bought and read it. This book is about the life of twins, Chloe and Riley. They make many rule by themselves and they enjoy their life as twins. They bother love and school and so on. After I read this book, I thought that I wish I were a twins. If I was twins, I can spend more fun life. However, I like my sisters so that's just my dream.

Book review1-10 Dawson's Creek

I bought this book when I went to Montana. I knew the same TV title of this book, so I decided to buy and read when I was high school student. However, I missed the chance to read it and after I entered the university, I started reading this book. The main characters of this book are Joey, Dawson, Pacey and Jen. The story of this book is that these four teenagers learn about life and love. I love the story of student's life so I enjoyed this book and I will recommend it to my friends. Someday, I want to watch the TV, too.

Book review1-9 DRIPPY the runaway raindrop

This book is about little rain drop whose name is Drippy. Drippy is a rain drop but he wants to see the world by himself, so he run away from his home and embarked on an adventurous journey. He was tried in the various furnace in the course of his journey but he overcame the trials. You may think that this story is a little kid-friendly but this book is good for us who study English. Therefore I will read this book many time. The pictures of this book are very cute so we can also enjoy watching pictures.

Book review1-8 The Scarlet Letter

I knew this book in the class of American literature. I read very short part of this story so I was interested in this book. One day after the class which I learned about the Scarlet letter, I found this book so I lent it. This story about a woman who was guilty of adultery. Adultery was bad crime so she came to trial, but she never gave away the father's name of her baby.

When I read this book, I couldn't understand the story well but I thought it is very literary work. I will try to read this book to understand the story more.

Book review1-7 About a boy

I have known the title of this book because this novel was made into a movie in 2002. I have wanted to watch this movie because I like a romantic comedy story, but I have missed the opportunity to watch. One day I found this book in the library and I was attractive by the book cover, so I thought “It’s time to read!” And I thought this book is easy to read. So I chose this book to read.

There are two main characteres in this book, Will and Marcus. Will is thirty- six years old but he had never had a job in his life because his father had written a very successful Chirstmas song. So since his death, the royalties have come to Will and he has not to work by himself. He wants to keep his life simple so he never involves with people deeply. Marcus is twelve years old and he lives with his mother. He has serious problem about his mother. Both of them have a problems about their life. One day, they meet each other. At first, they dislike each other, but they gradually understand together through the many things.

I thought this is love story but in fact, it was about the interaction of two men. I like the process that Will and Marcus understand each other. After reading this book, I want to watch the movie.

Book review1-6 The Luck of Roaring Camp and other stories

I found this book in this school library. First, I was interested in the old man in the cover of this book. I liked his atmosphere, so I chose this book to read. I thought that this book is long story but in fact, it has a three short stories. Therefore I enjoyed reading this book very much. There are three different stories in this book. I think the first story is the best. The first story-The Luck of Roaring Camp- is about life in California when many people went west. They wanted to find gold and be rich so they went west. The Roaring Camp is one of the name of the camp for the people. One day, a by is born in the camp but his other died soon. Therefore, men take care of the baby and the baby whose name is Luck bring many good lucks to them. It was very interesting because strong men take care of the baby. Other two stories, Miss Mullins of the Sierras and A portrait of Jack Hamlin are also strange and interesting stories.

Book review1-5 THE PHONE RING

I was interested in the cover of this book. When I saw the cover, I thought that this was a detective story but it was a love story. I enjoyed reading this book bacause the main character is very fun.

The man takes a shine for a girl but he cannot talk to her. Then, his friends cooperate for him by using cell phone. By using cell phone, he gets thinformation about her, for example, interests and favorite thing. So he try to become a man she like. After all, she also taked a shine to him so they could get friendly.

After I read this book, I look up with him because he did his best to become friend with her. If I were in his place, I would not do that things.

Book review1-4 E.T.THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL

I watched this movie when I was very little so I don't remember the story well. Therefore, I chose this book to understand the story well.

Elliott lives with her mother, an older brother and a younger sister. One day, he met an alien which was left in the earth and they became friends and he named the alien E.T. They harbor E.T from the adult and they try to get E.T to go back to his planet. I think that E.T is a heartwarming adventure movie. So this movie has been popular for a long time. E.T's appearance is a little strange but I gradually liked it. I think he is cute. I want to watch this movie again.

About next class

On 24 July, we will have a final exam; conversation test with 1st grade students. We will talk about some things and our treasure but I haven't decided it yet. I cannot find my treasure yet. So I think that it is a good opportunity to find my treasure. Maybe, I will be nervous but I want to enjoy talking with my partners. I hope that we can have a good time together.

Book review1-3 Two boyfreinds

I read Two boyfriends. This book is written about a girl who tries to two-timing. A girl whose name is Anna has a boyfriend but she think that he is very boring. Then, she tries to get another new boyfriend. However, after all, she lost both boyfriends. I think that two-timing is not good thing. As I read this book, I already anticipated that she lost her boyfriends. I think that Anna is a stupid girl.

Book review1-2 SUPERMODELS

I found this book SUPERMODELS in the school library. I like watching beautiful people so I chose this book to read. This book was written by Vicky Shipton who studied fashion when she was younger. It is said that in this book that she wrote this book because she was interested in the world of fashion.
In this book, many famous supermodels are introduced. For example, Kate Moss, Tyra Banks and Cindy Crawford. Of course, there are some supermodels who I don't know but I could enjoy reading this. Because it is written not only the profile of them but also the seamy side of world of the models.
I want to introduce a supermodel in this book. That is Tyra Banks. She was born in Los Angeles, California in 1973. Her first year as model in L.A was not so smooth but, after she went to Paris her work gradually got on the right track. And now, she shines with many things like singer and producer of the TV show. Tyra is important to many African-American women because she was the first black model on the covers of famous magazines like GQ, Sports illustrated, and Victoria's Secret. I have known her because I have watched her TV show, American's Next Top Model. Tyra is the exective producer of this TV show. I love this TV show so I was very happy when I found her in this book.
I think many people can enjoy reading this book even if there are people who are not interested in fashion or modeling.

After the presentation

Today, we did second presentaion about new country. I was looking forward to doing this because we made very interesting map. This time, I could enjoy presentaion than last time. Because I got accustomed to do presentaion a little. So I could talk ad lib. I wanted people to like our new country through this presentaion.
Other group's presentaion were also great. I could really enjoy listenig to them and I liked their country. One is my favorite country is Freedonia. I am interested in the place to visit there. Their national flag was so great. It has great meanings and I was very moved. However, I like my country-New Savonie- the best!

Book review1-1 JUMANJI

I found this book in the school library. Robin Williams who is famous actor in the cover of this book, so I chose this book to read.

One day a boy whose name is Alan found a board game called jumanji. Jumanji is very mysterious game and when he palyed the jumanji, he wa taken in jumanji. Moreover he couldn't go back to the real world for a lomg time and he was forgotten from people. Many years after that, two children found jumanji again. As they played jumanji, Alan got back to the real world thanks to two children. As they continue to play the game, very strange things happen one after another. Therefore they struggle with jumanji to fiinish the game.

I have watched this movie before, so I could emage the scenes easily.JUMANJI is so exciting story. I'm sure that you will like it.

About presentaion 2

In after school on 14 July, we gathered to make the map of our new country, New Savonie. I brought a big poster and we drew many picture about our company on the back of the poster. Our map is so colorful and there are many cute things on it. Kaori is very good at drawing a picture and Kumi always comes up with good idea. So we could enjoy making this map.

About our presentation.

We will do the next presentaion on 17 July. I work with Kaori and Kumi. In this presentation, we created a new country which is called New Savonie. We discussed and decieded the outline of our country. In this country, there are many bananas and monkeys. They are the main point. We enjoy thinking a new country.

After the class--my favorite things--

In last class, I talked about favorite things with my friends. We asked some questions each other. All of them have their favorite things. One of my frinds' favorite place was parks. When she takes awalk with her dog, she always goes to a park and watches children playing the soccer there. My favorite place is Tawarayama in Aso. I often go there with my parents by a car. There are many good things, for example, nice restaurant and ice cream shop. I'm sure that you will like there.
After that, I talked about our next presentation with my group's member. We decided to gather on Monday to draw a map of our country. I 'm looking forward to doing a presentation.

My favorite things

I have many favorite things. Firast of all, I will write about movie. I have watched many movies since I was child and most of them were foreign movies, because my parents watched them a lot. I watched few Japanese movies. I have many favorite movies but the best movie for me is The Rock and FINDING FORRESTER. The Rock is action film. I have watched it so many times but I never tired of it. Every time I watch it, I am always very exciting. I'm sure that I will watch this movie forever. FINDING FORRESTER is human drama. I watched this movie last year for the first time but I became a big fan of this movie soon. After watching this movie, I feel myself refreshed and it is very interesting. While I want many people to watch this movie, I don't want to tell this movie to people. These two movie are the exact opposite but both are my favorite movie. In additon to this, My favorite actor is Sean Connery. He appears on above my favorite movies. He already retired in 2006 but I still love him. He had appeared on so many movies. I have not watched the whole of his movie yet but I will watch all of them someday.

After the class --part of the body--

In last class, I talked about part of the body with my friends. I found that many of them always sleep on their back and I always sleep on my back,too. I have not broken my bone but one of my friends broke her bone three times. I was very surprised to hear that. Breaking bone must be very painful so I never want to break my bone!

About part of the body

When I was a child, I thought that my neck was so long so I had a complex about it. However now, I don't think so. I don't like my low nose too, I want a little higher nose if it is possible.
Talking of the body, I'm always thinking about diet. Especially, I want to lose my thigh's weight. After graduating from high school, I do not exercise regulary so my weight has continue to increase. Once or twice a year, I start diet with my mother. We walk to lose our weight at night in spring and autum because it is confortable season to walk. However, we always fail in it. I love eating so I cannot skip my meals. I cannot lose my weight easily but I try to do that to make my body slim!!

After the class―vaction plan―

I talked about vacation with my freinds as a part of a class. I found a friend who stay at home during the vacation. She said that she wants to read many books during summer. I think this is good plan. I also like reading book but I usually don't have enouhg time to read them so I want to use summer vacation for reading books.
I also discussed about ideal honeymoon with my friends. We decieded that Australia is the best place for honeymoon ecause there are many beautiful place to visit like shelf of colal and many interesting place to visit like Ayers Rock so if you went to Australia for honeymoon, you can get great memory for honeymoon. Other friends recommended other place. For example, Howaii, Italy and the U.S.. I thout that all of them are very attractive place for honeymoon.

About vacation plans

I have some plan for this summer vacation. First, I am going to go to Nagasaki for sightseeing with my family. We went to Miyazaki and Kagoshima last year and it was very fun so I am looking forward to it. Next I will go to the beach and fireworks with my friends. I can't wait to them. However, I have examination before summer vacation so I have to study hard for my happy summer vacation.
I want to try some volunteer about ecology this summer so I have looked for the information on the Internet now. I hope I can take part in some volunteer work.
About three months have past since I got a driver's license so I want go many place with my friends by my driving in this summer so I have to improve my skill of driving.

After the class ―fashion―

I asked my freinds about fashion in the class on 19 June. I found that most my friends like tall men and I also like tall handsome man. Next, I found someone who wear contacts. I have weak eyes so I have to wear glasses or caontacts but I don't wear them. Because I am scared to wear contacts so I still see with the naked eyes. However, I think glasses are very attractive so I want to wear them someday. Moreover there are some freinds with a pierced. I can't have my ears pierced because I think it must be painful so i will never have my ears pierced through my life.
I like changing my hairstyle. In my high school, it is not allowed to dye my hair, so when I entered the university, I dyed my hair brow soon. I was so happy to see my new hair and I felt myself refreshed. However, once I dyed my hair, I want to dye my hair more bright color. Someday, I want to dye my hair blond but I will not do that because I know that blond hair will not suit me. Moreover, in my high school, it is not also allowed to have my hair permed so I had ny hair permed last summer. Having my hair permed was very exciting for me because I could change my hairstyle dramatically. However, dying my hair and permanent have serious damage to my hair so I have stiff and dry hair now.
Since I entered the university, I have enjoyed fashion like clothes and hairstyle.

About fasion

I like reading fashiom magazines, I often browse them in a boookstore and convenience store. It is very interesting to watch the clothing and models. When I read fashion magazines, I always think about that I want to diet.
When I was high school student, i didn't care about clothes thanks to school uniform. However, I don't have school uniform now so I have to choose clothes to go to school every day. At first, I bothered what I should wear but i gradually got accustomed to do that. Recently, I can really enjoy going shopping! I want many clothes!

Presentaion about part-time job

Last week on Thursday, I did a presentation about part-time job of college students. I and friends had prepared for this presentation about for three weeks. Through this survey, I wanted to know that what and how students of the same generation do now. We had to do this survey by not a paper but mouth so I asked who I don't know. I was a little nervous about asking them because we had to ask them in English. At first, I got confused but I was gradually accustomed to do that. Moreover, people were very kind so I could enjoy asking questions and get good results.
On the day of the paresentation, I was a little nervous again but I really enjoyed doind presentation. In addition to this, other students presentations were very interesting. Through this presentation, I could know about part-time job which students do now and I thoughtthat these results would be great reference for me. Thanks to kind students, we could do a good survey.

Student life

Today, I would like to write about my life.

My present life is simple but I lik my life. I wake up at 7a.m., and go to univercity by bicycle with my friend. At univercity, I study English and talk with my friends in my freetime. I live with my family so when I go back to my home, sometimes I help my mother. After dinner, I spend my free time doing my homework, watching TV and reading books or magazines.
I have much free time at home now because I do not work at parttime job. I think that I do not use my free time effectively. This is my bad point of my life so I must get a part-time job soon. I think that part-time job and studying hard and spending with my friends are necessary for me to make my life full. And I want to live by myself in two years.

Hobbies and Sports

I love sport! Especially I love basketball, tennis and soccer. I was belonged to basketball club when I was junior high school student. I played basketball with my friends almost everyday. Thanks for my friends, I could enjoy playing basketball though we had to practice hard. After graduating from junior high school, the cahnce to play basketball decrease sharply. And my family love playing tennis so we can enjoy tennis with all members of family. And I like playing and watching soccer very much. I think that the soccer game in Europe is more interesting than that in Japan.
My hobby is reading books and watching movies. My favorite book is Sharlock Holmes. I have read this series since I was elementary school student. I read them many many times but I am not tired of them. Maybe I will continue to read them thrugh my life. I also enjoy watching movies. I often go to the theater with my friend. Watching movies makes me happy. So I want to watch many movies!

After the class on May 7

In class on May 7, I made a new animal with my friend. That's name is "Polar elephant". Maybe you already know that this animal is combination of polar bear and elephant. They are very mild and the color is beautiful white. They live in South Pole, so sometimes they are attacked by polar bear. But they can repel the attacker because they are very big! They are twice the size of the normal elephant. Of course they have a bad point. It is appetite! They eat a lot because of the size. Therefore they are desperate for food every day.

Animals

I love animals. I am always fascinated by their sweet faces on TV.
I don't have pet now. But once I had two hamsters when I was elementary school student. Their names werePOTATO and CHIP(they mean "potato chips"). I love them and I play with them after school every day. But the two hamsters already died when I was elementary school student. Since then, I have not have any pet. But recently I want to have a dog. So I will have a dog when I start working at company!

About my family

There are five people in my family. My father is architect and he works at Kumamonoto zoo now. Recently, he designs animals a new building. He loves soccer and he is a big fan of local soccer team ROASSO. Sometimes he visits other prefectures with my mother to watch the game. His enthusiasm for ROASSO always makes me amazed. My mother is a housewife but she is always busy about many things. She is very good at cooking and I think her dishes are the most delicious in the world. All dishes she makes for us make me feel very happy! I lso have two older sisters. I have not fought with them. We are getting along nicely withea chother. Both of them already work, so they treat me sometimes. I want to travel abroad with my sisters in the future. I love my family!!

mysterious fruit!?

Yesterday, I made a new kind fruit with my friend. What fruit do you think ?
Its name is potorawbery!! It is crossing of potato and strawberry.
It almost looks like a potato, but the color outside is red and the colo inside is pink. (this color is mixture of potato's white and strawbery's red.)
As I said, beautiful point of this fruit is cute color, but potorawberry has bad point...
It is the taste!! It tastes bitter and sour. Therefore we can not eat them raw.
We should eat them with sugar. But it is not very good...
